I am stunned to think that I have to put this into question but the presentation of the story is very inconsistent relative to the coverage of other criminal cases.
Here is a story of a home invasion where a violent crime and robbery took place. This variation of presentation is that this story brings with it, not only an incredible amount of demographic details but it pairs those details with photo of the perpetrators.
I have to ask, when was the last time you read or watched a crime story in the news and walked away confident that you could identify the assailants? I often time comment to the tone of: "how do we identify someone if we do know enough to identify them". This is most often met with pictures of full cover actors.
See the deviation from the expected narrative discourse. This than would mean that these people are being used as a token to sell the public a notion or redefine the publics preconceived notions. Lets be honest, there is a demographic common theme in violent crimes in Toronto.
This is were I feel a little dirty. I feel this way because the intention of insight is more of a marketing and advertising strategy than it is coverage of current events. This is an event, from a narrative standpoint, with a sole purpose to sell the public on something and this something happens to be demographics of violent criminals.
You interest and intend leaves a bad taste in my mouth with many of questions. First being, did this event actually take place? Is there a victim? Or, is this more experiential marketing manipulating the general public into see the world different from what is actually is.
Institutions across our land have spent years and invested endlessly in redefining reality. Just think we live in a nation where self preservation is now defined as hate. How and what was need to redefine a principle natural law.
I there is a victim I hope the full weight and trust of the law lands of these criminals but it if there is any prospects to my query I ask to ask for a stop to this terrorist style marketing strategy. We see it being used by the TTC to manipulate the public in demanding for budget requests.
Enough is enough, Lets make honesty trendy again because I am losing a long standing bet I made with a Prof. as a student. He claimed the west destroys value by turning anything with meaning into a marketing gimmick. Now it might be the case, that the west is willing to maim and kill in order to sell you something. Even an idea.
